Victory Pushes Monsters Record to 18-16
|
Hialeah first baseman Charles Josse had a good game, even if his team did not. The Dodos dropped a 7-4 decision to Monongahela at Timber Hawks Ballpark. Josse was 3-5 with 2 doubles. He drove in 2 runs and scored once. Joel Baxter locked down his 1st save. Monongahela has now won 3 in a row.
A defensive lapse proved costly in the contest. In the bottom of the fourth, with Monongahela trailing 4-3, Román García was at the plate when Monongahela scored 2 on an error. The miscue enabled the Monsters to go in front, 5-4.
"You can't get too high when things go well, or too low when things go bad. Right now, I'm just happy we got the win," García told the Monongahela Daily.
