Brass Bridle Dodos, 4-2
|
It was a good time at Brass Field, where fans came to watch the Hialeah Dodos and Baton Rouge Brass get after it.
Baton Rouge Brass starter David Flowers turned in a top-notch performance against the Hialeah Dodos at Brass Field. The result was a win for the Brass, 4-2. Orynn Veillon picked up the save, his 3rd.
Tied up with the Dodos in the bottom of the fifth inning, the Brass got a boost from right fielder Stephen Goldobenko. With the bases loaded, Goldobenko saw a 1-2 fastball from Clint Kirk and hit a 2-run single to break the stalemate and put Baton Rouge on top, 3-1.
"Feels good to get the job done," Goldobenko said after the game.
At 21-12, Baton Rouge is in second place in the Silver AAA.
