Warriors Come Back Late to Top Rainbeaus
|
The Forest City Warriors knocked off the Kansas Rainbeaus, 7-3, at Wichita Field. Felix Plugge, who captured player of the game honors, was a big reason Forest City won. The catcher went 2-5 with a home run and a triple. He scored 2 times and drove in 4. At 11-12, the Warriors are currently 7th in the Silver AAA.
Plugge had a game-changing triple in the top of the eighth. On a 1-1 curveball from Von Hansen, he banged a bases-clearing triple to center, giving the Warriors a 6-3 lead. It was the 1st triple of the year for Plugge.
"We did a lot of things right," said Plugge.
