Fans who gathered at The Zoo in Syracuse saw a good contest between the Pennsauken Flyers and Syracuse Squirrel Monkeys.

Pennsauken right-hander Kunimatsu Taue pitched his team to a shutout win, 2-0, over the Syracuse Squirrel Monkeys. Taue went 7 innings to notch the win. He scattered 7 hits, walked 2, and struck out 4. His record improves to 3-0.

In the top of the first, Kyle Fitzgerald ambushed a 2-2 fastball from Manuel Ruíz and hit a 2-run home run. It gave Pennsauken a quick 2-0 lead.

Taue expressed little emotion after the game. "Every game we win now," he said, "is one less win we'll need to get in the end."

Pennsauken, now 11-6, has gotten their season off to a good start.
