López hits 4th home run, Nobles Move to 66-32
The Bakersfield Nobles defeated the Port Royal Disaster, 9-2, in USPL Triple A action at Ballpark of Port Royal, with Bakersfield left fielder Ángel López named player of the game. Robert Moody got the win, improving to 3-2. He held the Disaster to 2 earned runs on 6 hits over 6 innings, while striking out 3 and walking 1. Skip Walker converted his 3rd save in 5 tries.

López came through with some timely hitting for Bakersfield. With the score 1-1 in the top of the fifth and two down, López hit a first pitch changeup for a bases-clearing double. His 2nd double of the season made it 4-1, Bakersfield.

"We'll grab a cold one tonight and go after another win tomorrow," López said.

Bakersfield goes to 66-32. The win puts them 7 games up in their division.
