Late Rally by Flyers Seals 7th Straight Win
|
The Pennsauken Flyers extended their winning streak at Wichita Field.
Kansas pitcher Morgan Novak gave the Flyers all they could handle, but in the end, Pennsauken left Wichita Field with a 5-2 win. Novak allowed no earned runs on 4 hits over 5.1 innings. The save was credited to Scott Alexander, his 1st.
It could have been a different outcome for Pennsauken, had it not been for Byron Shadix, the 25-year old right fielder . Shadix contributed a run-scoring walk in the top of the eighth inning to put Pennsauken up, 4-2.
"We can always improve and get better, but we're feeling confident after that win," said Shadix.
Pennsauken, now 8-2, is setting the league on fire so far.
