Drummers Use Late-Game Magic to Beat Pajaritos
|
The Norfolk Pajaritos went down to defeat to Scott Thompson and his Tortolita teammates. The final score was 3-2 in favor of the Drummers. Tortolita reliever Mau Delgado picked up the win to move to 5-0. Hamilton Franklin suffered the loss. The Drummers bumped their record to 57-38 with this latest triumph.
Had Scotty Glenn not delivered a key base hit in the bottom of the eighth, the outcome might have been different. Instead, with two down and a runner on 3rd, Glenn hit a run-scoring single. That made the score 3-2, in favor of the Drummers.
"We put it together today and came out with the win," Thompson said in postgame remarks. "That's the main thing."
