Tight Tilt Goes to Dodos, 4-3
|
Hialeah and Florida duked it out at Dodos Ballpark and the Dodos came out victorious.
Hialeah beat Florida at Dodos Ballpark, eking out a 4-3 win. The win was due in large part to designated hitter Alfonso Cabedo, who earned player of the game honors. Hialeah reliever César Soto picked up the win, upping his record to 2-0. Tony Wood shouldered the loss. Wendell Drabek earned the save, his 3rd.
Hialeah took the lead in the bottom of the fifth when Cabedo hit a 2-run double. His 5th double of the season made the score 4-3, Hialeah.
"I'm proud of the boys for pulling through," said Dodos manager Zach King. "The wins don't come easy for this team, but everyone's got an extra jump in their step after a game like this."
With the win, Hialeah boosts its record to 3-5.
