Sacramento and Bakersfield duked it out at Jerome Grounds and the Redlegs came out victorious.
Sacramento Redlegs starter Don Johnson pitched a strong game against the Bakersfield Nobles at Jerome Grounds, leading the Redlegs to a 6-3 win. The Redlegs now have a record of 50-44 with the win over Bakersfield.
Sacramento used the clutch hitting of De-wei Chi to capture the win. The designated hitter drilled a 2-run home run in the top of the seventh inning to put the Redlegs ahead, 4-2. It was his only hit in 3 at-bats, but it was a big one.
"We'll try to build on that win," Chi told the Sacramento News.
