Trevithick goes 3-for-3 in Shredders Win
|
With first baseman Richard Trevithick leading the charge, the Hollywood Shredders defeated the Long Island Lighthouse, 9-3, at The Lighthouse. Trevithick, who is tied for 9th in the PL in home runs with 13, went 3 for 3 with a home run, a double, and 2 walks, while scoring 3 times and driving in 2. Hollywood, at 31-21, occupies third place in the Premier League.
Hollywood used the bat of Johan Kroening to get the win. The left fielder hammered a 2-run home run in the top of the sixth inning to put the Shredders ahead, 4-2. It was his lone hit in 5 at-bats, but it did its damage.
"We did a lot of things right," said Trevithick.
