Rainbow Mermaids Drop Another One
The Long Island Lighthouse racked up a win at Atlantica, bumping off the Northern Virginia Rainbow Mermaids, 6-1. Greg Hodge, who started for Long Island, pitched effectively for his team. The Lighthouse raised their record to 3-3.

Long Island used the timely hitting of Gerold Olthof to capture the win. The catcher socked a 2-run double in the top of the seventh inning to put the Lighthouse ahead, 3-1. It was his only hit in 3 at-bats, but it was an important one.

Hodge told a Long Island Today reporter that he was "satisfied" with the win.
