Rainbeaus Rally For Late Win Over Squirrel Monkeys
The Kansas Rainbeaus topped the Syracuse Squirrel Monkeys, 4-2, with third baseman Guan-xiu Long playing a big role. Long was 4-5 with 4 singles for the Rainbeaus in the win. The winner was Kansas reliever Samuel Tuffley, now 2-0. The loser was Nick de la Fuente. Clinton Repetto earned the save for Kansas, his 3rd of the year.

In the top of the fifth, with Kansas leading 1-0, right fielder Fraser Childs hit a run-scoring single. The hit came off Luis Sastre and put the Rainbeaus ahead, 2-0.

"It takes a lot of things to win a ballgame," said Kansas manager Jorge Otero. "It's usually not just one thing."

The loss drops Syracuse to 3-3.
