Port Royal starter José Blanco had a strong outing against the Syracuse Starks at Ballpark of Port Royal. The right-hander was a big part of his team's 5-2 win. Blanco went 7 innings to notch the win. He scattered 8 hits, walked 1, and struck out 7. His record improves to 6-5. The last-place Disaster raised their record to 32-54.

The Disaster got a lift from center fielder Sean Roberts who had a run-scoring walk in the bottom of the sixth inning off John Núñes. It was his 18th walk of the season and put Port Royal in front, 3-2.
