Rainbeaus Get Close Win Over Squirrel Monkeys
The Kansas Rainbeaus downed the Syracuse Squirrel Monkeys, 4-3, at The Zoo in Syracuse. Habib Othman led the way, going 4-for-5 for Kansas. Kansas reliever Samuel Tuffley picked up the win, upping his record to 1-0. Santiago Morán shouldered the loss. The win takes Kansas to 2-2.

Chris Carson went 2-3 with 2 singles and a walk for Kansas. The 24-year old second baseman had a key at-bat in the top of the eighth. With two out and the bases loaded, he broke a 3-3 tie with a run-scoring walk off Santiago Morán. It was his 4th walk of the season.

After the game, Kansas manager Jorge Otero applauded the team's effort. "They busted their tails out there," he said.
