The Sacramento Redlegs got a stellar effort from pitcher Isacco Taricco, helping Sacramento score a 4-2 win over the visiting Bakersfield Nobles. José Valdéz finished the game for Sacramento and earned his 1st save. Sacramento is 34-41 and Bakersfield, with the loss, 50-25.

John Yossarian was a prime factor in the win for the Redlegs. In the bottom of the fourth with two out, the 23-year old right fielder hit a run-scoring single. He was 2-4 with a double.

Taricco attributed the win to "energy and focus on the part of everyone."
