The Syracuse Starks dealt the Port Royal Disaster a 11-6 loss at Stark Stadium. Luther H. Greene was the star on offense. He was 3 for 4 with a home run and 2 singles. He scored 2 times and drove in 3. Syracuse reliever Rémi Ribeiro was the winner. His record is now 7-0. Rio Dring took the loss. The slumping Disaster have dropped 6 in a row.

Greene put Syracuse up, 9-6, when he hit a 2-run home run off José Díaz in the bottom of the fifth. His 3rd home run of the season helped the Starks capture the win.

"You know, at the end of the day, it's about who scores the most runs," said Syracuse manager John Wright.
