Zhou, Redlegs Too Much for Rocks
|
Benefiting from Qian-fu Zhou's productive game, the Sacramento Redlegs downed the Plymouth Rocks, 10-3. Zhou was 2-4 with a home run and a walk. He scored 3 runs and drove in 3 for the Redlegs. Tim Owens got credit for the win, improving to 6-7. He allowed 3 runs on 7 hits in 7.1 innings. Sacramento now sits in 8th place in the Premier AAA at 23-35.
Zhou put Sacramento up, 10-3, when he hit a 3-run home run off Darko Trstenjak in the bottom of the eighth. His 6th home run of the season helped the Redlegs capture the win.
In postgame comments to the Sacramento News, Zhou said, "If the effort is there, the wins will come."
