Behind a solid performance from center fielder Tim Carson, the Alaskan Humpbacks defeated the Hartford Pride, 13-1. Carson went 3-4 with 2 home runs. He drove in 6 runs and scored twice for the Humpbacks. Alaskan reliever Josh Hall got the win, raising his record to 2-0. Ernesto García was tagged with the loss. The first-place Humpbacks have won 6 straight games.
Jorge Agramunt swatted a grand slam home run for Alaskan in the bottom of the fourth. The right fielder went 2 for 5 for the game, including 1 home run and 1 double. He scored 1 run and batted in 4.
"There were things that we could've improved upon," said Humpbacks manager Lou Cook, "but all in all, I'm satisfied with our performance."
