Nationals Win at Akron, 4-1
|
Ottawa Nationals starter Mark Wells turned in an exceptional performance against the Akron Blimps at Goodyear Hanger Dome, resulting in a Ottawa win, 4-1. Tony Rodríguez closed the game out for Ottawa, earning his 6th save. After today's action, Ottawa sits at 13-14, while Akron falls to 15-12.
Hulama Yani put Ottawa in front, 2-0, when he hit a solo home run off Henry Terry in the top of the third. It was his 3rd home run of the season.
"We'll enjoy this win," said Wells. "But there's more we hope to accomplish."
