Streaking Starks Win Another One
The Syracuse Starks topped the Jersey City Tritons, 8-3, with shortstop Tom Bancroft playing a big role. Bancroft went 2-4 with a home run, a double, and a walk. He scored 3 runs and drove in 2 for the Starks in the win. John Núñes got the win, improving to 5-3. He held the Tritons to 3 earned runs on 6 hits over 6.2 innings, while striking out 4 and walking 1. The winning streak has now reached 6 games for the Starks.
