Starks Pull Back to .500 With Win Over Pajaritos

The Syracuse Starks topped the Norfolk Pajaritos, 6-1, in USPL Triple A action at Norfolk Field. The player of the game was Syracuse pitcher Bernardo López. Syracuse now owns a record of 26-26.
The outcome might have been different for Syracuse, had it not been for Patrick Mildren, the 27-year old second baseman . Mildren stroked a 2-run single in the top of the fifth inning to put Syracuse up, 3-1. For the game, he was 3 for 4, including 1 double and 2 singles.
"We'll grab a cold one tonight and go after another win tomorrow," López said.
