With third baseman Carlos Muńóz leading the charge, the Norfolk Pajaritos defeated the Hartford Pride, 19-2, at Pride Park. Muńóz went 4 for 6 with a home run, a double, 2 singles, and a walk, while scoring 3 runs and driving in 5. Norfolk's record now stands at 30-21, placing them third in the Premier AAA.
The Pajaritos grabbed the lead in the top of the first. With no one out, Junior O'Day hit a grand slam home run off Matt Digby, putting Norfolk in front, 7-0. For O'Day, it was his 4th home run of the season.
"We were firing on all cylinders today," said Pajaritos manager Curt Kenney.
