The Squirrel Hill Pierogis went down to defeat to Mark Taylor and his Virginia Beach teammates. The final score was 4-2 in favor of the Whales. Virginia Beach reliever Patrick Le Gall picked up the win, upping his record to 3-1. Edward Swetnam shouldered the loss. Virginia Beach now owns a record of 13-12.

Virginia Beach needed the clutch hitting of Neung-uk Yi to notch the win. The right fielder hammered a 2-run home run in the top of the ninth inning to put the Whales on top, 4-2. For the game, Yi had 1 home run and 1 single in 4 at-bats.
