The Bethesda Atoms topped the Crescent City Krewe, 6-1, in USSL Double A action at Field of the Krewe. The player of the game was Bethesda pitcher and Burnsville, Minnesota native Ralph Johnston. The second-place Atoms improved to 14-9.

Early in the game, left fielder Will Gamble had a run-scoring single for Bethesda. It was his 10th hit of the season and put the Atoms on top, 1-0.

Gamble told a Bethesda Daily News reporter that he was "satisfied" with the win.
