The Akron Blimps bested the Tacoma Fur Traders, 4-2, at Ballpark of Tacoma. Matthew Hunt was named player of the game. He went 4 for 4 with 2 doubles and 2 singles. Gypsyamber D'Souza was credited with the save for Akron, his 8th of the season. With the loss, Tacoma drops to 8-12.
Hunt came through with some timely hitting for Akron. With the score 1-1 in the top of the fourth and no one down, Hunt hit a 2-1 splitter for a run-scoring double. His 4th double of the season made it 2-1, Akron.
"We made a couple of mistakes," said Tacoma skipper Elliott Taylor, "and it cost us."
