Pajaritos Defeat Drummers, 3-1
|
Norfolk and Tortolita played a hard-fought contest at Drummers Ballpark.
Norfolk got a strong outing from Jason Poulter as the Pajaritos defeated the Tortolita Drummers, 3-1, at Drummers Ballpark. Da'wan Gaines closed it out for his 2nd save.
Norfolk used the timely hitting of Carlos Muñóz to capture the win. The third baseman stroked a run-scoring double in the top of the fifth inning to put the Pajaritos on top, 3-1. It was his only hit in 5 at-bats, but he made it count.
"We're just going to try to build off this win," said Poulter.
After today's action, Norfolk sits at 22-18, while Tortolita falls to 24-16.
