Yepes goes 3-for-4, Nobles Move to 26-10
|
The Bakersfield Nobles topped the Sacramento Redlegs by the score of 12-5, with the biggest share of the credit going to designated hitter Thiago Yepes. Yepes was 3 for 4 with a home run, a double, and a walk. He scored 2 times and drove in 4 for the Nobles on the day. The first-place Nobles have won 7 straight.
Yepes had a game-changing home run in the top of the sixth. On a 2-1 fastball from Emery Manhoran, he banged a grand slam home run to left, giving the Nobles a 6-4 lead. It was the 2nd home run of the year for Yepes.
"You know, at the end of the day, it's about who scores the most runs," said Bakersfield manager José Gonzáles.
