|
The Alaskan Humpbacks downed the Syracuse Starks, 7-3, at Sea World. The Humpbacks were led by Marcos Luna, who captured player of the game honors. He went 2 for 5 with a home run. He drove in 4 runs and scored once. The Humpbacks sit in second place in the Premier AAA with a record of 23-10.
With Alaskan leading 3-0 in the bottom of the fourth, Luna came up to bat against Syracuse pitcher De John Cleland. Luna hit a changeup to left for a grand slam home run. His 1st home run of the season put the Humpbacks on top, 7-0.
"We were able to get some things going offensively," said Luna.
