Nobles Continue Hot Start to Season With Win
|
The Bakersfield Nobles had to overcome a big game from Hartford shortstop Lester Kwiatkowski to leave Pride Park with a 6-4 victory. Kwiatkowski went 3-4 with 3 singles and a walk. Bakersfield reliever Wilson Rangel picked up the win, bumping his record to 1-0. Rook Ellington was collared with the loss. Hartford has now lost 4 in a row.
It could have been a different outcome for Bakersfield, had it not been for Roldão Cintra, the 25-year old right fielder . Cintra contributed a run-scoring sacrifice fly in the top of the third inning to put Bakersfield up, 1-0.
"You can't get too high when things go well, or too low when things go bad. Right now, I'm just happy we got the win," Cintra told the Bakersfield Daily News.
