In a low-scoring game between the Gulf Coast Turbeaus and the Casper Ghosts, pitcher Marcos del Pozo was masterful on the mound. The Gulf Coast right-hander was named the player of the game in Gulf Coast's 3-0 win. del Pozo got the win, improving to 1-0. He allowed 4 hits and walked 3 over 6.1 innings. del Pozo allowed no earned runs. The Ghosts fall to 5-10 and continue to sputter in the early going.

The Turbeaus got a lift from third baseman Rickard Busald who had a run-scoring sacrifice fly in the bottom of the fifth inning off Mark Smith. It was his 12th RBI of the season and put Gulf Coast in front, 1-0.
