The Akron Blimps got a strong performance from pitcher Lance Mascola, who stymied the Crescent City offense en route to a 4-2 win at Goodyear Hanger Dome. Mascola picked up the win for Akron, going 8 innings. He gave up 2 runs on 6 hits. He now sports a record of 1-1. Gypsyamber D'Souza earned the save, his 5th, for the Blimps.

Cristo Correa Jr. dealt the Krewe a blow in the bottom of the third. Batting with a runner on 1st and Akron leading 1-0, Correa Jr. hit a 0-1 fastball for a run-scoring double.

Crescent City manager Michael Garrett said he was "mildly disappointed" with the loss. "We had our opportunities, but we didn't take advantage of them," he said.

Losses have been few and far between for the Krewe, who are now 10-4.
