Nationals Defeat Fur Traders, 5-1

The Ottawa Nationals picked up a win at Ballpark of Tacoma, knocking off the Tacoma Fur Traders, 5-1. Starting pitcher Manu Jortikka was an essential part of his team's success. Ottawa is still hoping to get on a roll. The win is just their 5th in 13 games.
Ottawa used the timely hitting of Ed Reese to capture the win. The center fielder socked a run-scoring double in the top of the seventh inning to put the Nationals ahead, 2-1. It was his only hit in 4 at-bats, but it was an important one.
Jortikka attributed the win to "energy and focus on the part of everyone."
