Pride Drop Redlegs, 9-6
|
The Hartford Pride beat the Sacramento Redlegs, 9-6, at Pride Park. The Pride got a fine performance from shortstop Hal Larson, who captured player of the game honors. He was 1-4 with a home run and a walk. He scored 2 runs and drove in 3. Matt Digby closed it out for his 3rd save. At 7-19, Hartford is in last place in the Premier AAA.
Hartford took a 7-6 lead on Mario Ramírez's 6th hit of the season. The run-scoring single, which Ramírez hit in the bottom of the seventh, left Sacramento pitcher Jesús Nasario visibly frustrated.
"Nice to get this one," said Ramírez. "Wins have been hard to come by."
