The Plymouth Rocks downed the Syracuse Starks, 10-3, at Stark Stadium. The Rocks were led by Daniel Marley, who captured player of the game honors. He went 4-4 with a double and 3 singles. He scored 2 runs. Even with the win, the Rocks have a dismal 6-18 record.

The Starks had been locked in a 1-1 tie with the Rocks going into the top of the fourth inning. That changed quickly when the 32-year old right fielder Jesús Guillén came to the plate.
