Nada Slugs Pajaritos to 8-4 Win
|
Norfolk played host to Hartford at the friendly confines of Norfolk Field.
Surender Nada made an impact in the 8-4 Norfolk win over Hartford. Nada, who is tied for 7th in the PAAA in RBI with 17, belted 2 home runs. He scored 3 runs and drove in 4. The winner was Zhi-qiang Ku, who threw 97 pitches over 6.1 innings. The right-hander was charged with 2 runs on 6 hits. Hamilton Franklin got the save, the 2nd for him this season.
Carlos Castro hit a 2-run triple off Tomás Huesca in the bottom of the third, which put the Pajaritos in front, 3-2. Castro had 2 walks, in addition to the triple. For the game, he went 1 for 2.
"I'm just looking for a good pitch that I can hit well," said Nada. "And not try to do too much."
The Pajaritos' win now puts them at 13-10.
