The Syracuse Starks beat the Tortolita Drummers, 14-4, at Drummers Ballpark. The Starks got a fine performance from first baseman Aloysius Szymanski, who captured player of the game honors. He went 3 for 5 with a home run and a double. He scored 2 runs and drove in 5. The loss drops Tortolita to 11-9.

Early in the game, Szymanski had a grand slam home run for Syracuse. It was his 3rd home run of the season and put the Starks on top, 6-2.
