Getting a good performance from catcher Rubén Jusino, the Casper Ghosts defeated the Squirrel Hill Pierogis, 4-3. Jusino went 4 for 5 with a home run and 2 doubles, while scoring 2 runs and driving in 2 for the Ghosts. Darrell Bannatyne closed the door for Casper, picking up his 1st save of the year. With the win, Casper elevates its record to 3-3.
Wayne Haylock's hit in the top of the 11th was a game-changer. With one out, he rapped a slider from Carlos Guerrero for a run-scoring single. It put Casper in front, 4-3.
Haylock called the triumph "a good team win."
