Pierogis Come Back Late to Clip Blimps

The Squirrel Hill Pierogis dealt the Akron Blimps a 4-3 loss at Field of the Rawhides. Adam Cunningham was the star on offense. He was 2-4 with 2 home runs. Reliever Edward Swetnam picked up the win. His record improves to 1-0. Rob Butler took the loss. Losses have been few and far between for the Blimps so far this season. Their record drops to 2-1.
Rodrigo Santana helped out the Squirrel Hill cause in the bottom of the seventh inning with a run-scoring single. For the game, the pinch hitter went 1-1.
"Honestly, I'm not frustrated," said Akron manager Jared Gilbert. "The effort was great."
