Ortega Now 3-0 After Subduing Reserves
|
The Milton Dogfish Head defeated the Athletic Club KC Reserves, 6-3, in M3L Triple A action at Milton Corner Tavern, with Milton pitcher Claudio Ortega named player of the game. Milton improves to 68-33 with the win. They lead their division by 6½ games.
The Dogfish Head liked what they saw from Ortega. The 22-year old pitcher had a commanding presence on the mound, limiting the Reserves to no earned runs on 4 hits over 6.1 innings, and striking out 11.
"That's the key at this level, throwing strike one," said Ortega. "Successful pitchers do it."
