Santa Barbara and Sunset District duked it out at Fog Park and the Golden Cranes came out victorious.

The Santa Barbara Golden Cranes did just enough to sneak past the Sunset District Fog, 6-5, at Fog Park. Santa Barbara pitcher Robin Colcord earned player of the game honors. Colcord went 7.1 innings to notch the win. He scattered 5 hits, walked 1, and struck out 3. His record improves to 9-8.

It could have been a different outcome for Santa Barbara, had it not been for Vicente Casaus, the 24-year old catcher . Casaus contributed a run-scoring walk in the top of the first inning to put Santa Barbara up, 2-0.

"I know we have our doubters," said Sunset District manager Tomás Gonzáles. "But I still have high hopes for this team."

With the win, the Golden Cranes have a record of 40-60.
