Tight Tilt Goes to Dogfish Head, 3-2
|
Milton starter Ena Tuuta pitched effectively against the Vermont Lake Monsters at Monster Field. The right-hander led his team to a 3-2 win. The winning pitcher was Tuuta, now 8-7. He tossed 7 innings of 5-hit ball, while walking 0 and fanning 6. The first-place Dogfish Head, at 62-28, now lead their division by 5˝ games.
Milton used the timely hitting of Hyeon-cheong Kim to capture the win. The third baseman stroked a run-scoring double in the top of the sixth inning to put the Dogfish Head on top, 2-0. It was his only hit in 2 at-bats, but he made it count.
"Ena was pounding the zone," said Milton manager Eugene Jackson.
