Red Pandas Walk It Off for 43rd Win of Season

The Sioux Falls Red Pandas beat the Athletic Club KC Reserves, 5-4, at The Bamboo Forest. Brant Thigpen was recognized as player of the game for his performance. He was 2 for 4 with a home run and a double. He drove in 3 runs and scored once. The former first round draft pick was a menace to Athletic Club KC all day. Sioux Falls reliever Júlio Rodríguez was the winner. His record is now 2-0. The losing pitcher was Rick Knapp. The 7th-place Red Pandas have won 4 in a row.
The game came to a dramatic end. In the bottom of the ninth, with Sioux Falls trailing 4-2, Thigpen hit a fastball from Rick Knapp for a 3-run home run, giving the Red Pandas the walk-off win.
