Athletic Club KC rode a fine outing from starter Gabel Ambrosius to victory over the Santa Barbara Golden Cranes at Crane Field. The final score was 6-2. Ambrosius got the win, improving to 4-7. He allowed 7 hits and walked 3 over 5 innings. Ambrosius allowed no earned runs. The Reserves saw their win-loss record go to 37-45. At the same time, the Golden Cranes fell to 33-49.
Athletic Club KC used the bat of Miguel Fernández to get the win. The designated hitter hammered a 3-run home run in the top of the sixth inning to put the Reserves ahead, 5-2. It was his lone hit in 4 at-bats, but it did its damage.
In postgame comments to the Athletic Club KC Times, Ambrosius said, "If the effort is there, the wins will come."
