Dogfish Head Lose, 5-1, at Crane Field

In baseball, each game is unique. This one was no different.
Santa Barbara Golden Cranes starter Jin-soo Jan-Hui was in a rhythm all game. He led his team to a win over the Milton Dogfish Head, 5-1. Jan-Hui, now 3-8, was the winner. In 8.2 innings, he gave up 4 hits, while striking out 7, walking 5, and allowing 1 earned run.
The Dogfish Head had been locked in a 1-1 tie with the Golden Cranes going into the bottom of the fourth inning. That changed quickly when the 30-year old right fielder António Amaya came to the plate. Amaya hit a run-scoring triple on a full count fastball from Milton hurler Nick Hayes. It was Amaya's 2nd triple of the year.
"I'm not out there for personal accomplishments," Amaya told a Santa Barbara Gazette reporter after the game. "I'm out there to help the team win, and that's what we did today."
After today's action, Santa Barbara sits at 32-38, while Milton falls to 47-23.
