The Austin Black Mambas downed the Sioux Falls Red Pandas, 7-5, at Mamba Park. The Black Mambas were led by Bill Gatacre, who captured player of the game honors. He was 3 for 4 with a triple, 2 singles, and a walk, while scoring 2 times and driving in 2. Austin reliever Laurens Bancroft was the winner. His record is now 2-0. The losing pitcher was José Puente. Dan Sanders closed the game out for Austin, earning his 5th save.
Making an impact for the home team was Silverberry Mouhon. In the bottom of the second, the 32-year old first baseman had a run-scoring sacrifice fly. That made the score 4-2, Black Mambas.
