Maxwell Helps Nolensville Cruise to 10-3 Win
The Nolensville Knights knocked off the Austin Black Mambas, 10-3, at Nolensville Park. Dave Maxwell, who captured player of the game honors, was a big reason Nolensville won. The designated hitter was 3-4 with 2 doubles and a walk. He scored 2 times and drove in 3. Nolensville, at 29-35, occupies 8th place in the Menard's AAA.

The Black Mambas had been locked in a 0-0 tie with the Knights going into the bottom of the fifth inning. That changed quickly when the 24-year old center fielder Nick McGhee came to the plate. McGhee hit a run-scoring single on a first pitch changeup from Austin hurler Harvey Wyles. It was McGhee's 53rd hit of the year.

"We'll enjoy this win," said Maxwell. "But there's more we hope to accomplish."
