Black Mambas Lose, 8-3, at The Bamboo Forest
|
Tony Randolph was instrumental in his team's 8-3 triumph over the Austin Black Mambas. The third baseman went 1-3 with a home run and a walk. He drove in 4 runs and scored once for the Sioux Falls Red Pandas. The winner was Timoteo Sassetti, who threw 83 pitches over 5 innings. The right-hander was charged with 2 runs on 5 hits. The save went to Jim Sison, his 2nd this season.
Sioux Falls took a 7-2 lead on Randolph's 1st home run of the season. The grand slam home run, which he hit off Abdul-Nasir Rabah in the bottom of the seventh, propelled Sioux Falls to the win.
"Nice to see our side come away with the win," Randolph said after the game.
With the win over Austin, the Red Pandas improved to 25-26.
