Black Mambas Fall to Fighting Dachsunds, 6-4
|
The Ellenburg Fighting Dachsunds beat the Austin Black Mambas, 6-4, at Mamba Park. The Fighting Dachsunds got a fine performance from catcher Bill O'Halloran, who captured player of the game honors. He went 1-4 with a home run, while adding 4 RBI and scoring once. The Fighting Dachsunds saw their record improve to 25-20.
O'Halloran contributed a big hit, a grand slam home run, for Ellenburg in the top of the fourth. With his team trailing 4-1, O'Halloran took a changeup from Patrick Ibáñez and stroked the home run to right. His 1st home run of the season allowed the Fighting Dachsunds to leap in front, 5-4.
"We'll grab a cold one tonight and go after another win tomorrow," O'Halloran said.
