The Ellenburg Fighting Dachsunds and starting pitcher Ricky McCauley stifled the Austin offense en route to a comfortable 9-2 win at Mamba Park. McCauley, now 6-3, was the winner. In 8 innings, he gave up 5 hits, while striking out 4, walking 2, and allowing 2 earned runs. The 4th-place Fighting Dachsunds improved to 24-20.

One important at-bat came with runners on 1st and 2nd in the top of the third inning. Facing Austin hurler Adrian Newell, Wyatt Quick, who leads the 3AAA with a 1.069 OPS, got hit by a pitch. The Fighting Dachsunds went on to win.
