Big Day by Biggs Ignites Fighting Dachsunds Win
|
The Ellenburg Fighting Dachsunds stopped the Milton Dogfish Head, 10-4, at Milton Corner Tavern. The Fighting Dachsunds got a big game from Alfred Howard Biggs, who was 3 for 4 with a home run, a triple, a double, and a walk. He scored 4 times and drove in 3. The winner was Cecil Drabek, who threw 110 pitches over 7 innings. The left-hander was charged with 4 runs on 5 hits. With the win over Milton, the Fighting Dachsunds improved to 23-17.
Biggs came through with some timely hitting for Ellenburg. With the score 1-0 in the top of the third and no one down, Biggs hit a first pitch fastball for a 2-run triple. His 3rd triple of the season made it 3-0, Ellenburg.
